Antonio Vivaldi

Italian composer, Vivaldi (1678-1741) is recognised as being one of the greatest Baroque composers. He was also a respected violinist and teacher. He composed an array of music including a number of violin concertos and a variety of other instruments, sacred choral works and over forty operas.

Among his compositions for the flute, some of the most well-known include his flute concertos and sonatas.
