This album features selected highlights from Bartók’s most popular repertoire including Mikrokosmos, Romanian Folk Dances, and Romanian Christmas Carols amongst others, arranged for flute with piano accompaniment by Hywel Davies.
The Romanian Folk Dances were originally written in 1915 as a suite of six short piano pieces, which Bartók subsequently orchestrated for a small ensemble. In this edition, Hywel Davies has arranged the suite for flute with piano accompaniment. (N.B May not be the same arrangement)

Béla Bartók
