Nuvo Toot
Nuvo Toot
About
The NUVO Toot is the sister instrument of the Dood. For a child ready to progress from the recorder, this is the perfect next step to ultimately playing the flute. The set contains the NUVO Firstnote lip plate, suitable for early lessons when the student is acquiring posture, fingering, and the ability to play simple tunes. Once prepared, you can swap out the Firstnote for the regular lip plate, also provided.
See the video below. The Toot and Dood together can bring a whole new sound to the recorder ensemble and give younger children the chance to learn important woodwind skills at an early age. See WindStars for lots of music that can be played by the Toot and Dood.
Colours Available at All Flutes Plus:
- Black and pink
- Black and black
- Black and blue
- Black and green
Firstnote Lip-Plate
The patented Firstnote lip-plate can be beneficial for some very young students who are in the early stages of learning. Similar to a recorder mouthpiece, this enables students to get a good sound right from the very start, enabling them to learn fingering and postures. The Firstnote lip plate can be clicked on and off with ease and replaced with the standard lip plate once the student is ready.
What age is it suitable to start playing the TooT?
Using the FirstNote lip plate, you can start as young as 3 years old! To begin with, you may find it a bit difficult to cover the holes but with practice, you should be able to play lots of simple tunes
How can I clean my TooT?
You can clean your TooT frequently using hot soapy water.
