About
The work’s three movements are strongly contrasted. The first movement draws on the flute’s capacity for gracefulness and poise, whilst movement two is a study of far more intense and even tragic emotions. The concerto’s rhythmic and bustling finale highlights the flute’s capacity for display.
Movements
1. Allegretto grazioso
2. Lento molto
3. Allegro molto vivace
