Louis-Emmanuel Jadin
Louis-Emmanuel Jadin (1768-1853) was a French composer, pianist and harpsichordist. He worked at the Théâtre de Monsieur, became a musician in the National Guard in 1792, became director of the Théâtre Molière in 1806 and later taught piano at the Paris Conservatoire.
He composed a wide range of works, including symphonies, chamber music, piano sonatas, and a vast number of operas. Jadin’s music showcases a blend of Classical elegance and the emerging expressive qualities of the Romantic era.
