Book 1
Heather Hammond’s Funky Flute Repertoire Book 1 includes 30 fun-loving tunes, comes with a CD accompaniment and is presented in a colourful edition to appeal to young flautists. This repertoire book introduces the student to a rich selection of diverse music styles – from familiar classics such as Ode to joy and folk tunes like Mary had a little lamb to cheerful titles including Grandma’s ragtime rave-up, Mango tango man and Boogie Woogie jingle bells. Heather Hammond is a prolific and immensely popular composer. There are twelve books in her Funky Flute series: six pupil books (three-course books and three repertoire books), all with great backing CDs, and a corresponding set for the teacher which has the Piano accompaniment to the pieces.
