Berbiguier (1782-1835) was a French flautist, teacher and composer. He also learnt the violin and cello at a young age.
In 1805, he won a place to study flute with Johann Georg Wunderlich at the renowned Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris
Berbiguier wrote an array of works involving the flute including fifteen duets, seven concertos, six solos and seven sonatas, variations, fantasies, trios and romances. He also composed popular studies and methods including, Méthode de flûte traversière, Nouvelle Méthode pour la Flûte and Grandes études caractéristiques.
