Pattapio Silva-Composer
Brazilian composer/flautist, Pattapio Silva (1881-1907) studied flute at the Instituto Nacional de Música (National Institute of Music) in Rio de Janeiro. He was contracted by Banda de Casa Edison, producing a catalogue of music for over two decades.
He was one of the forerunners of Choro (A 19th Century instrumental Brazilian popular music genre originating in Rio de Janeiro).
