The Standard model D-flute combines properties of the Pratten model and the Rudall & Rose model enabling the player to produce a very powerful sound, with an array of tonal colours. The overall sound is sweet, with a powerful bottom D and an effortless second octave. It is very responsive and easy to play instrument. Suitable for beginners and advanced players alike.

Pratten Model

The Pratten model has the typical large bore and large holes that are to be found on the original Pratten’s model.

Rudall & Rose Model

The Rudall & Rose model is based on about 10 different Rudall & Rose and Rudall & Carte flutes I’Lejeune measured. The instrument has a very sweet, yet powerful tone, and is brilliant in its second octave.

Geert Lejeune

Geert Lejeune mainly makes three types of D-flutes: a Rudall & Rose type, a Pratten type and my Lejeune’s standard design combining the two previous types.

Product Delivery

We dispatch all instruments within the UK via Royal Mail Special Delivery, unless otherwise requested, at a standard flat rate of £12 per instrument.
We will endeavour to dispatch your order by return and availability of stock if received before 2.30pm.
We use a secure courier service for overseas deliveries outside the United Kingdom. Delivery charges will vary depending on the location and weight of the goods.
