Bela Bartok Rumanische Volkstanze
About
The “Roumanian Folk Dances” were originally composed for piano but have been adapted in various forms. This particular version for flute and guitar draws inspiration from the original piano score, as well as the composer’s orchestration and Zoltán Székely’s transcription for violin and piano.
Across the six short movements, Bartók presents folk melodies accompanied by his own harmonizations, creating a diverse range of moods. From the enchanting and ethereal “Pe loc” to the lively and energetic “Maruntel,” these dances encompass a wide spectrum of emotions.
